One Thirst Project is dedicated to combating the global water crisis by providing clean water wells in rural communities across Uganda where access to clean water is almost non existent. Our mission is to offer wells which provide a safe source for water while also cheering local communities toward success.
In Uganda, the scarcity of safe water sources has significant implications for health, education, and economic development. Many families rely on contaminated water, which leads to waterborne diseases such as Malaria, Giardia and Typhoid. The ongoing health challenges caused by poor quality water hinders the ability of parents to care for their children. In addressing these challenges, our projects aim to create generational impact.
Each well constructed is designed with the community's unique needs in mind, ensuring that it serves as a reliable water source for years to come. We work closely with local leaders to identify the most appropriate locations for these wells, ensuring that they are accessible to those who need them most.
With each well completed, we witness the transformational power of clean water in Uganda. Families gain improved health, children are able to attend school regularly and entire communities experience economic revitalization. Each contribution made to One Thirst Project directly fuels this vital work, and together, we can continue to bring hope and sustenance to those who need it most.

With every completed well physical needs met and our local partners are empowered with a physical representation of the saving grace of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Jesus told the Samaritan woman at the well, “Anyone who drinks this water, you will be thirsty again, but those who drink the water I give will never be thirsty again. It becomes a fresh, bubbling spring within them, giving them eternal life." John 4:14

WE HAVE A TEAM OF UGANDAN ENGINEERS AND “TRENCHMEN” WHO DIG WELLS - BOREHOLES - BY HAND! IN SOME AREAS OF EASTERN UGANDA, GOOD WATER MIGHT BE FOUND AT DEPTS FROM 60-70 FEET. IN MANY AREAS THAT INCREASES TO 100 FEET, MANY TIMES THROUGH 20-50 FEET OF ROCK! WE EMPOWER UGANDANS TO DIG WELLS FOR THEIR NEIGHBORS AS WE PARTNER TO PROVIDE WATER FOR LIVING AND LIVING WATER!
WATER IS LIFE.
WITHOUT SAFE DRINKING WATER, FAMILIES SUFFER. SANITATION IS NOT POSSIBLE AND ILNESS TAKES HOLD. NEARLY EVERY FAMILY HAS LOST LOVED ONES TO WATER BORNE ILLNESSES. EVEN LIVESTOCK SUFFERS FROM LACK OF WATER. WE OFTEN HEAR VILLAGE LEADERS SAY, “WATER IS LIFE!”
